Fall is finally flipping the switch out here. False albacore have started trickling in, bluefish are stacked from the Point out into Gardiner's Bay, and the bottom bite on fluke, sea bass, and porgies is still holding up. The one sour note remains striped bass — they're scattered and skinny on numbers, and nobody local is pretending otherwise.
